Working for our organisation

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. 

These include:

  • Croydon University Hospital
  • Purley Hospital
  • The Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre in Thornton Heath
  • Community bases at Purley, Sanderstead, New Addington, Broad Green, Woodside
  • A minor injuries unit in New Addington

Education/ Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Registered Midwife
  • • BSc in Midwifery
  • • Evidence of professional development
Desirable criteria
  • • Quality improvement training
  • • Audit qualification or evidence of significant knowledge and experience of audit

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • 3 year’s post registration experience
  • • Experience in working in all aspects of clinical midwifery in both hospital and community setting.
  • • Evidence of working in a complex environment and coping with competing priorities
  • • Experience of working as part of a team and can demonstrate principles of effective team working
Desirable criteria
  • • Experience of working in Clinical Audit
  • • Experience in implementing change with measurable improvement plans
  • • Experience of problem-solving, analysing complex information, interpreting and presenting data clearly
  • • Experience of implementing NICE & RCOG guidance
  • • Report writing for a range of audiences
  • • Experience of developing and delivering training programmes.
