Applicants are invited for the Three ITU Clinical Fellows post (CT1/ CT2 level or ST3+) as part of the Anaesthetic and Critical Care Department.  These are both full time posts for a period of 6 months renewable up to 1 year Starting from Aug 2021.

The intensive care unit provides high quality care for 15 level 3 and level 2 beds. The Fellow would be expected to spend his clinical service commitment in the Intensive care unit and an additional 1 in 8 on-call commitment with internal cover In ITU (EWTD compliant shift system). If the Fellow has anaesthetic experience and would like to improve anaesthetic experience, we will try to incorporate theatre sessions as well.

The Anaesthetic department comprises of 26 W.T.E. Consultants (8 with a major interest in Critical Care) 2 Associate Specialists, 5 speciality doctor, 2 Staff Grades and 19 trainees (on rotation from St George's School of Anaesthesia) plus a variable number of Clinical Fellows (Trust Drs).

There is daily clinical teaching on the ward rounds and once weekly intensive care teaching held on the unit, organised and supervised by the Consultants.
