Safeguarding Adults  Advisor - Band 7

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed Safeguarding Adult Specialist Advisor to join the Croydon Health Integrated Safeguarding Team (CHIST) in a full time position. You will have strong background in adult care either as a nurse or social worker.

A key aspect of this role involves empowering  frontline staff to protect vulnerable adults in Croydon. In return you will be nurtured and supported to develop your safeguarding skills, knowledge and experience in this specialist role to an advance level.

This is an opportunity to be part of progressive integrated safeguarding team as part of South West London Croydon Place-based CCG and Croydon NHS Trust.  You will work as part of a large team to improve safeguarding outcomes for Adults at Risk in Croydon. You will play a key role in supporting compliance with the Mental Capacity Act  (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) functions.

This role include supporting frontline staff in the acute and community settings , via our Safeguarding Duty Desk and direct supportive visits to key clinical areas.  You will support delivery of  safeguarding teaching, and supervision and support staff to identify and escalate concerns.
