Croydon is a busy, exciting and diverse place to work. The borough has one of the youngest populations in London and continues to grow.
Croydon Health Services cares for local people at Croydon University Hospital, Purley Memorial Hospital and in clinics and people’s homes all across the borough.
We are a very close-knit and friendly organisation where everyone of our 3600 members of staff is valued. We strongly believe that our employees are our greatest asset and so through Listening into Action – our way of engaging staff - we empower everyone at any level to initiate and bring about real improvements in our care.
Join us and be a part of the team that is making Croydon proud. #choosecroydon
Community or Continuity midwife:

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in the care of antenatal and postnatal women and potentially intrapartum care, whilst understanding that the women of Croydon come with a vast diversity of complex needs.
Whilst working in this role you will be expected to work as a team player, your role will require excellent assessment skills, partnership working and a strong commitment towards achieving the outcomes that improve the health of all client groups. You will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise and governance in all aspects of your work with particular attention to safeguarding maternity concerns being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines and policies. In return you will receive team level support, wider MDT support and professional development and leadership skills whilst working at Croydon University Hospital NHS Trust.
This post is for either traditional community or to join one of the integrated geographically based continuity teams. Please specify which you would be interested in either your application or your interview.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom (UK) are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. Please note that from January 2021, to work in the UK all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply can self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship here. It is vital that you provide full and accurate details of your current immigration status on the application form. Overseas applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Guidance can be found here. Not everyone needs a ‘Skilled Worker’ visa. If you are applying for a vacancy in health or adult social care, check if you’re eligible to apply for the Health and Care Worker visa instead. It’s cheaper to apply for and you do not need to pay the annual immigration health surcharge
