Croydon is a busy, exciting and diverse place to work. The borough has one of the youngest populations in London and continues to grow.

Croydon Health Services cares for local people at Croydon University Hospital, Purley Memorial Hospital and in clinics and people’s homes all across the borough.

We are a very close-knit and friendly organisation where everyone of our 3600 members of staff is valued. We strongly believe that our employees are our greatest asset and so through Listening into Action – our way of engaging staff - we empower everyone at any level to initiate and bring about real improvements in our care.

Trust Registrar in Renal and General Medicine

An opportunity has arisen for a Renal and General Medicine Registrar  to work in Croydon University Hospital.

GMC registration and MBBS & MRCP are essential. Candidates should have some experience in Renal and General Medicine and a keen interest in supporting service developments.

There is ample opportunity to attend outpatient clinics. Whilst on-call the postholder would be on-call for Acute Medicine.

The post holder will be required to participate in a General Medical Registrar on call rota as well as undertake ward based duties in renal care and for renal referrals, supervising a team of Foundation Year and Core Medicine trainees.

Within this role you can look forward to a professional structure where we have excellent links with the local GPs and Primary Care Networks, as well as the opportunity to work in a large and developing department with enthusiastic colleagues.

Croydon University Hospital is a busy District General Hospital, serving the population of Croydon. Most Medical and Surgical specialties are represented. There are strong links with local teaching centres and there are many training grade rotations in place. The Trust also has an active postgraduate medical centre and well-stocked library.

In addition, our Trust is in an excellent location, close to Central London and well situated in the South East.
